This page applies to A Living Journey and its original Living Canvas, educational resources presented by Bruce Gibson ND under Wholistic Ecology. Linked websites, purchases and subscriptions have their own privacy notices and terms.
Your privacy
Your journal stays in your browser
The journey saves your journal reflections, activity answers, ecology map, card arrangements and exploration progress in your browser’s local storage when available. The original Living Canvas separately saves its arrangement, explored cards and display preference. Images you add to the canvas are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB; they are not uploaded by the canvas. Motion preferences are also saved locally. These features do not send your entries to Bruce Gibson ND, create an account or sync them between devices.
Anyone who can access your browser profile may be able to view your saved entries. Avoid recording sensitive information on shared devices. Exported or printed journals become files or documents under your control.
Managing your information
Use My journal to export or print your journal, or choose Clear my journey data to remove the main journey’s notes, map and progress. This does not clear the original canvas or motion preference. Remove an added canvas image from its close-up panel. To remove all locally stored information for this site, including its image database, use your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may erase your work. Copies you exported or printed must be deleted separately.
Website delivery and third parties
The site’s own code does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts or a newsletter submission form. Hosting and network providers may process technical information, such as IP address, browser details, request times and security logs, to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare also sets a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm) for bot and abuse protection. Their processing, storage locations and retention are governed by their own policies; locally saved journal entries are not included in requests made by the journey’s code.
Following an external link takes you to another service. Its privacy practices apply, including any information you provide when contacting someone, subscribing or buying a book. We do not receive your locally saved journal simply because you follow a link.
Enquiries
If you contact us separately, your correspondence and contact details may be used to respond to your enquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive health information through general website enquiries. You can ask about access, correction or a privacy concern using the contact route below. We cannot access or recover entries stored only in your browser.

Educational references do not mean their authors endorse this site. Individual experiences vary and no particular health outcome is promised.
Terms of use
Learning and respectful use
You may use the journey for personal learning and keep your own journal exports. Respect others’ rights and do not misuse, disrupt or attempt unauthorised access to the site. The journal is a personal reflection tool, not a clinical record or assessment.
Content and ownership
Original teaching text and site materials remain with their respective rights holders. Third-party photographs and references retain their own rights and licences. Linking to this journey is welcome. Please request permission before reproducing substantial teaching content, republishing site assets or using them in a commercial course. This does not limit uses permitted by law.
Accuracy, availability and external services
We aim to provide useful, accurate information, but content can change and errors may occur. The site may be updated or temporarily unavailable. Keep an exported copy of any reflections you want to retain. External resources are offered for further learning; their content and availability are outside our control. Any purchase is subject to the seller’s terms presented at the time.
Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page removes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee or other right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Updates
This page may be revised as the journey or its features change. The update date above identifies the current notice. Material changes to data collection should be described here before those features are introduced.
